WinWAP for Windows let's you use WAP services on your Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC. The WAP browser is a full mobile Internet browser that allows you to use the mobile Internet services you would use on your phone's built-in browser.

The browser looks, feels and works like your regular web browser on your Pocket PC, but reads WAP content instead.

The WinWAP browser is suitable to be used for both business and fun. In the business world it can be used to have access to the mobile services from your Pocket PC in addition to having access from your mobile phone. If you are looking for fun, the WinWAP browser provides access to all the same services (chat, information, google etc.) that you use on your mobile phone. Some telecom operators require that you connect your mobile phone to your Pocket PC and use it as a GPRS-modem in order to get access to the telecom operator specific services.

NOTE: If you are using a Pocket PC 2000 or 2002 there is a separate version for your device available

I forgot too add - google doesn't work at all. There is no "search" button, and pressing "return" doesn't work. Isn't this browser great!

WinWAP for Windows Mobile 2003 is not the best browser I have ever seen -- in fact, it's terrible, even for the purposes it was designed for. The menu is difficult to navigate. Many sites it cannot handle, and the "back" button does not work until the page is fully loaded. So it's useless for normal browsing. However, it is very handy for viewing files on a drive, with easy access -- the help files tell you that you can choose "Open File" from the "File" menu -- the problem is that the "Open File" option does not exist.

As for the help file in general, it was very informative, with the best topic being "Clicking a Button". Connecting to a WAP gateway -- easy! Just follow the detailed instructions in the "Help" section of the homepage! The biggest, most detailed, and fance part of the help files is, of course, the bit about registering. Which you should not do under any circumstances.
